Woodlands Navigation: Compass Basics

How can I find my way back without a GPS? A compass can be one of the most valuable tools for any outdoor adventure. We will cover the basics of using a handheld compass, including taking and following bearings, and test our skills using a woodlands navigation course. CHA will provide compasses but if you have your own, bring it with you.
